In order to increase R&D capabilities, Garmin International added additional staff and built a brand new building in Chandler, Arizona. The high-tech office space features state-of-the-art technology and was awarded Best LEED Design in 2014 by the NAIOP.
High-performance in more ways than one, Garmin’s new R&D facility was constructed with tilt-up concrete, high-efficiency glazing and roofing to provide a sustainable facility. The two-story glass lobby pays homage to the Garmin global headquarters, incorporating their trademark blue and elements of their logo into the interior spaces. Maximized daylight illuminates the office spaces to enhance the overall atmosphere of the interior environment. Additional amenities include PV arrays over parking stalls and multiple recreational spaces like an outdoor basketball and volleyball court.
